1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Mitzvah Tracker ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
2. Description of Service
Mitzvah Tracker is a free application for tracking personal good deeds. The App includes:
- Local storage of your mitzvah entries on your device
- Optional participation in an anonymous global leaderboard
3. Privacy and Data
Local Data: Your mitzvah entries are stored locally on your device using browser localStorage. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to this data.
Leaderboard (Opt-In): If you enable the global leaderboard feature, the following anonymous data is sent to our servers:
- A randomly generated anonymous ID
- Your total mitzvah count and current streak
- Your approximate country (derived from IP address, not stored)
You can opt out and delete your leaderboard data at any time via Settings.
No Cookies: This App does not use cookies or any third-party tracking technologies.
4. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the App for its intended purpose of tracking good deeds
- Not attempt to manipulate the leaderboard through false data
- Not attempt to disrupt or abuse the service
5. Data Loss Disclaimer
Your data is stored locally in your browser. Data may be lost if you:
- Clear your browser data or cookies
- Uninstall the App
- Use a different browser or device
We recommend using the Export feature in Settings to back up your data. We are not responsible for data loss.
6. No Warranty
The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be noted by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
